A Kauai Hiking Tour
“Let’s go on a walk” Zac says!! Next minute we have our own personal guide and we are packing enough food for a whole day!

We packed out bags; cameras, food, water, forgetting jackets, spare clothes and sunglasses.
We arrived and we greeted by our guide Jeremiah from Kauai Hiking Tours with fresh watermelon and a map which was so well worn it looked like a tea towel.
Jeremiah suggested we leave our Red Convertible Mustang in town and jump in his off roader.
We drove for 40 minutes, the convo between the lads consisted of Sugar Plantations and Hawaiian History, I fell asleep.
We started walking, Jeremiah talked the whole way, teaching us about vegetation, local birds and how to use our walking poles. Then, just like that, we find ourselves on the edge of a crisp mountain ledge leading to two stunning lookouts and epic views of the world famous Nāpali Coast!!! From over 4,000 feet above we became captivated by rainbow-colored canyon walls, 800-foot Waipo’o Falls, and the reds and greens combined with swirling clouds to create a view that’s unlike anything Zac and I have ever seen – it was scary, mind blowing and magical all at the same time.

The Jurassic Falls Helicopter Landing Adventure
This is one of those days we will never forget.
For the first time ever, tourists can now land at Manawaiopuna Falls and view the waterfall made famous in Steven Spielberg’s blockbuster movie ‘Jurassic Park’.
The pilot landed us deep within the interior of Kauai (inaccessible by foot) then leads us along the jungle path to the base of the waterfall. It was like landing in heaven, the whole time I was looking for Adam and Eve. We defiantly ate some of their magical fruits.
Next we explored the spectacular and isolated Na Pali Coast where we witnessed majestic mountains, cascading waterfalls, secluded beaches and pristine cathedral cliffs. We flew inside the crater of Mt. Waialeale volcano where waterfalls plunge thousands of feet to the valley below. The pilot played epic soundtracks through our headphones to accentuate the visual sights and timed it so perfectly that it was like being in a motion pictured- I held Zac’s hand and cried.

Our Convertible Red Mustang
You will need a car on the island as it’s too big to explore by foot! We hired Zac’s dream car (because why not) from Avis located at the airport. Nothing better than experiencing the wind in your hair and the heat on your back- we even managed to transport a surfboard around and nailed driving on the wrong side of the road.

The Sheraton, Kauai Resort
A 30 minute drive South from the airport, this hotel was perfect for location. Centred in the middle of all our adventures, it was a lovely place to come home to at the end of the day not to mention right alongside Poipu Beach. I did some great snorkeling here also but being a little scared of the water I needed the help of Zac haha.

The Westin Princeville, Ocean resort Villas
After two full on weeks packed with adventures, this was literally the perfect place to hide away. Here we simply ate good food, drank good wine, lay by the pool and enjoyed each other’s company. The vilas are divine and the service was welcoming, we highly recommend finishing your holiday up the coast.
